Israel Adesanya, the former UFC middleweight champion, expressed his belief that his former opponent, Alex Pereira, is capable of avenging his recent loss to Magomed Ankalaev.
Pereira lost his UFC light heavyweight title to Ankalaev by unanimous decision in March.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Adesanya praised Pereira`s progress: “I am so proud of Pereira and what he has accomplished. It feels like I created a monster. He has shown who he is in two weight categories.”
Addressing a potential rematch, he added, “I am looking forward to his next fight with Ankalaev. I think this will be another tough challenge, but Pereira will cope. Because his first fight wasn’t a complete failure, and he is also getting better at a geometric rate.”
