Alex Ovechkin and Capitals Honor Marc-Andre Fleury

Washington Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin, despite his pursuit of NHL goal-scoring records, paused to pay tribute to the remarkable career of Minnesota Wild goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

Following a 4-2 loss to the Wild, as Capitals players were leaving the ice, Ovechkin recognized it was their final game against this Western Conference team for the season, and consequently, their last encounter with veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury.

Ovechkin then skated back to his bench, urging his teammates to join him in congratulating Fleury, who was the backup goalie that night, on his illustrious career.
