Arniel hints at playoff adjustments with line swap in Jets’ loss to Sabres

WINNIPEG — Credit to Scott Arniel, he makes effective in-game adjustments.

While the Winnipeg Jets coach has maintained consistent forward lines throughout the season, he has demonstrated an ability to make the right adjustments when games demand it.

Late in the third period of Sunday’s 5-3 defeat to the Buffalo Sabres, Arniel`s line adjustments—substituting Nikolaj Ehlers for Nino Niederreiter alongside Adam Lowry and Mason Appleton—resulted in a critical goal with 3:28 remaining in regulation time.

Ehlers carried the puck end-to-end and scored with his signature slapshot from the left side, bringing the score to 4-3.
