Colorado Avalanche forward Logan O’Connor will be sidelined for at least five months following hip surgery performed on Friday.

The operation was conducted in New York City by Dr. Bryan Kelly.

O`Connor, 28, recently concluded a season where he recorded 10 goals and 11 assists in 80 regular-season appearances. During the playoffs, he netted two goals in the seven-game first-round series defeat to Dallas.

This is O`Connor`s second hip surgery, having previously undergone the procedure in March 2024. He committed to the Avalanche with a six-year contract extension signed last September.

Prior to his professional career, O`Connor spent three seasons playing for the University of Denver. He was part of the Pioneers team that secured an NCAA championship title during the 2016-17 season.
