Jimmy Snuggerud is finally joining the St. Louis Blues.

St. Louis announced Friday that it has signed Snuggered to a three-year, entry-level contract and that the University of Minnesota captain will practice with the team on Monday.

Snuggered was drafted 23rd overall by the Blues in 2022.

The 20-year-old right-shot forward made the decision last April to return to the Gophers for his junior season in 2024-25, citing `unfinished business` after an early exit from the Frozen Four.

Snuggerud was given the `C` in Minnesota and led the team with 24 goals, 27 assists and 51 points overall in 40 games. He earned Big Ten First Team All-Star honours for the second straight season and was a Top-10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA`s top player.

The Gophers were knocked out early in this year`s Frozen Four again, though, losing out to the University of Massachusetts in a first-round overtime thriller. Snuggered had two goals in the loss.

Snuggered also suited up for the United States at the world juniors, scoring five goals in six games.
