Brady Tkachuk Confirms Readiness for Game 1 After Early Exit

Ottawa Senators fans can relax – their captain is set to play in Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Brady Tkachuk exited the game against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday after the second period as a precaution.

Following the game, Tkachuk told reporters that he will be available for Sunday`s Game 1 against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

“I took a couple of sticks to the face,” Tkachuk explained after the game.

Tkachuk is returning after a 10-game absence due to an upper-body injury. This season, he has scored 55 points in 71 games (29 goals and 26 assists).

The Senators are heading to their first playoff series since 2017, facing off against the Maple Leafs in Game 1 on Sunday, April 20th.
