Fraser Minten is anticipated to play his first game with the Boston Bruins following his recent recall.

The Bruins have recalled the 20-year-old Minten from Providence on an emergency basis. In a corresponding move, forward Jeffrey Viel has been sent down to the AHL.

Minten became part of the Bruins organization through a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs, which involved Brandon Carlo.

During his time with Providence, Minten accumulated three goals and seven points in 10 games. Before joining the Bruins system, he recorded four points in 15 NHL games with the Maple Leafs and 13 points in 26 games with the Toronto Marlies.

The Bruins are preparing to face the Carolina Hurricanes as they aim to break a ten-game losing streak.
