Leading American UFC welterweight contender Joaquin Buckley discussed the potential move of former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev into the welterweight division.
Buckley stated, “Islam is coming to welterweight, and everyone in the division is eager to fight him. He`s the prime target. We haven`t fought yet, but before we do, he`ll discover a lot about me. I believe I`d be his ultimate challenge because I can do precisely what he fears most. Someone like Dell Maddalena, however, has numerous vulnerabilities that Islam could exploit,” Buckley commented during an interview with Parry Punch.
Notably, Buckley`s most recent octagon appearance was in December of last year, where he secured a finish against Colby Covington.
