Buffalo Sabres Secure Fifth Straight Win Behind Reimer’s Shutout Against Hurricanes

Goaltender James Reimer was the star for Buffalo, making an impressive 33 saves to shut out the Carolina Hurricanes and secure a victory for his team.
This shutout marks Reimer`s first of the season and the 31st in his NHL career. His last shutout was in February 2024 while playing for the Detroit Red Wings against Calgary.
The Sabres` offense was powered by goals from Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, and JJ Peterka. This win marks Buffalo`s fifth consecutive victory, a feat they haven`t achieved since January 2023.
Carolina`s goalie, Pyotr Kochetkov, managed 15 saves but couldn`t prevent the loss. The Hurricanes have now suffered three straight defeats. This loss also means the Washington Capitals have clinched the Metropolitan Division title.
In another game, the Florida Panthers defeated the Toronto Maple Leafs with a score of 3-1.
