Canadiens’ Carrier leaves Game 4 after hit from Capitals’ Wilson

The Montreal Canadiens were forced to finish Sunday`s Game 4 with a reduced defensive lineup after a key player left the ice.

Defenseman Alexandre Carrier exited the game during the third period with what appeared to be an injury. Notably, this incident marked the second time Carrier had departed from the game; he had previously gone to the locker room in the first period before returning to play.

His second and final departure from the game reportedly stemmed from a collision involving Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson. Wilson`s hit sent Carrier forcefully into the boards. The play occurred moments before the Capitals scored a goal that leveled the game`s score.
