Montreal Canadiens defenseman Lane Hutson`s historic first season culminated in receiving a prestigious award.
It was announced Tuesday morning that he is the winner of the Calder Trophy, presented annually to the best rookie in the National Hockey League.
Hutson`s family and friends surprised him by presenting the award during a recent dinner.
