The Montreal Canadiens currently have no new information regarding the status of two important injured players.
When questioned about goaltender Samuel Montembeault and defenseman Alexandre Carrier during Monday`s day off, head coach Martin St. Louis stated he had no updates to provide.
Montembeault sustained an injury in Game 3 on Friday and was consequently unable to play in Game 4. Jakub Dobes took over goaltending duties for that game, making 21 saves in the team`s 5-2 defeat.
Carrier was injured during Game 4 following a hit in the neutral zone delivered by Capitals forward Tom Wilson.
Further details on both players are anticipated to be released on Tuesday after the team`s practice. Game 5 of the series between the Canadiens and Capitals is scheduled for Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET/4 p.m. PT.
The Capitals currently hold a 3-1 lead in the series.
