Canadiens Sign Defenceman William Trudeau to One-Year, Two-Way Deal

The Montreal Canadiens organization has announced the signing of defenseman William Trudeau to a contract. This agreement is a one-year deal structured as two-way, the team confirmed on Thursday.

Trudeau, a 22-year-old blueliner, was originally drafted by Montreal in the fourth round back in 2021. Last season, playing for the Laval Rocket in the American Hockey League, he recorded five goals and 14 assists across 68 games.

Over his three seasons total with Laval, the left-shooting defenseman has accumulated 70 points, scoring 20 goals and assisting on 50 others, over 198 games played.
