The Montreal Canadiens have announced the signing of forward Vinzenz Rohrer to a three-year, entry-level contract.

In his second season with the Lions, Rohrer recorded 25 points, scoring 15 goals and adding 10 assists over 52 games. He also contributed significantly in the playoffs, tallying seven points (one goal, six assists) in 16 post-season contests as the Lions successfully defended their league championship.

Rohrer recently represented Austria at the World Hockey Championship, where he put up six points (four goals, two assists) through eight games. Austria advanced to the quarterfinals before being eliminated by eventual silver medalists Switzerland.

Prior to his time in Switzerland, Rohrer played two seasons with the Ottawa 67`s in the Ontario Hockey League. From 2021 to 2023, he accumulated 97 points, netting 44 goals and providing 53 assists across 118 games.

Montreal originally drafted Rohrer in the third round, 75th overall, of the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
