Canucks Stun Stars with Last-Minute Goals, Clinch Overtime Victory

Pius Suter scored a pair of goals in the final minute of the third in part of a dramatic comeback effort and Kiefer Sherwood potted the OT-winner as the Vancouver Canucks rallied to stun the Dallas Stars 6-5.

DALLAS — In a stunning turn of events, the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Dallas Stars 6-5 in overtime on Tuesday night. Kiefer Sherwood scored the winning goal in overtime with 1:16 remaining. This victory was sealed after an incredible comeback in the final minute of regulation, where Pius Suter scored two of Vancouver`s three 6-on-5 goals. The Canucks have made NHL history, becoming the first team to score three goals in the last minute of regulation time.

According to the Canucks, this marks the first time in NHL history that a team has scored three goals in the final minute of regulation.

Suter`s second goal tied the game at 5-5 with just 5.2 seconds left on the clock.

Aatu Raty ignited the late rally, scoring with exactly one minute remaining in the third period. Earlier in the third, Jake DeBrusk and Victor Mancini contributed power-play goals for the Canucks, keeping their playoff aspirations alive. Goaltender Thatcher Demko made 23 crucial saves.
