Chelsea has officially completed the signing of Emi Martinez from Aston Villa on a three-year contract. The transfer fee is reported to be £7.5 million, and Martinez is anticipated to become a regular starter for the club.

Expressing his delight, Martinez stated, "I'm delighted to be at this football club. Coming to Chelsea, for me and my family, was an easy decision to make, and I'm over the moon. I can't wait to get started."

He further added, "I want to be successful here. I'm someone who wants to win at everything I do, and I want to bring that to this football club because it's a club that wins titles, so I think it's a good match. I'm all passion and I play with my heart. I will give 100 percent every game, every training session to make the club, my teammates, and the supporters proud."

Reports from Sky Sports News indicated that Chelsea was considering a late move for Martinez following criticism of current No. 1 Robert Sanchez after an error in the recent win against Fulham.

Martinez's departure from Aston Villa was necessitated after the club signed Zion Suzuki from Parma for nearly £30 million. Juventus had also shown interest in Martinez, but they ultimately opted to sign Guglielmo Vicario from Spurs.
