Coleman’s Consistent Play Propels Flames Towards Playoffs

CALGARY – In the closing moments of a game where Blake Coleman stood out with two goals and an impressive 15 attempted shots, Frank Vatrano resorted to an unusual tactic to impede the Flames` veteran.

He resorted to throwing his stick, in a desperate attempt to halt Coleman`s momentum.

“That was definitely an Olympic-level javelin throw,” Coleman quipped, acknowledging the bizarre play that disrupted his chance at a hat trick in the final moments.

“It was a strange sequence. Despite that, I was still trying to score and came very close,” he added, reflecting on the unusual end to his dominant performance.
