Connor McDavid is confirmed to play again.
The Edmonton Oilers` captain, Connor McDavid, will play in Wednesday`s game against the St. Louis Blues, having participated in the pre-game skate.
McDavid, a key player for the Oilers, has been absent since March 20 due to an injury sustained in a game against the Winnipeg Jets.
This is a timely return for Edmonton as they have a chance to secure a playoff berth on Wednesday if they defeat the Blues and the Calgary Flames lose to Anaheim in regulation time.
Despite McDavid`s return, the Oilers will be missing other key players against the Blues, as Leon Draisaitl and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will not be playing.
Leon Draisaitl is still recovering from an injury from April 3, and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins is sidelined due to illness.
Oilers defenseman Jake Walman is also out for the game, listed as a scratch on the team`s roster.
As they head into Wednesday`s game, the Oilers are currently four points behind the Los Angeles Kings in the Pacific Division standings, for the second spot.
Fans can watch the Oilers versus Blues game at 10 PM ET / 8 PM MT on Sportsnet or Sportsnet+.
