Cormier Pinpoints Key Mistake in Jon Jones Rematch

Daniel Cormier, a former UFC champion across two weight divisions, shared insights into his rematch against Jon Jones, specifically detailing how a lapse in concentration led to his knockout loss.

“I was fighting very well. I started talking to him, lost my concentration, and ultimately, I took a kick to the head. I got distracted, and he connected. I really should have remained focused. That`s probably my biggest regret. I felt so good that night that I pushed myself a bit too far and started doing things I normally wouldn`t, and I paid the price for it,” Cormier stated in an interview with Eddie Alvarez.

It`s important to recall that while Cormier was initially defeated by Jones via third-round knockout in 2017, Jones later failed a drug test. This resulted in the fight`s official outcome being changed to a `no contest`.
