UFC welterweight Jack Della Maddalena recently discussed his strategy and preparations for his anticipated bout against Belal Muhammad.
“Obviously, my primary focus for defense has to be stopping his takedowns,” stated Della Maddalena. “I believe I have the ability to do that. The more I can prevent him from taking me down, the smoother the fight will be for me. However, I am also fully prepared to work from my back if needed. I plan to be offensive from any position. I’m confident I have several methods to get back to my feet quickly. Ideally, I want this fight to stay standing, but achieving that requires solid takedown defense to make things easier for myself,” Maddalena elaborated.
