Vancouver Canucks fans may see their key goalie back in action sooner than anticipated.

Elliotte Friedman from Sportsnet mentioned that Thatcher Demko might be ready to play in Monday`s game against the New Jersey Devils.

Demko has been sidelined with a lower-body injury since February 8th. He participated fully in Sunday`s practice, marking his first full practice since the injury.

Kevin Lankinen, who has been playing while Demko was injured, wasn`t feeling well during Saturday`s game against the New York Rangers, according to coach Rick Tocchet.

Arturs Silvos, Vancouver`s other goalie, last played on March 15th against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Demko, 29 years old, has played 17 games this season with a goals-against average of 2.87 and a save percentage of .891.

In the 2023-24 season, Demko was a Vezina Trophy finalist after an impressive performance of 35-14-2, a .918 save percentage, and a 2.45 GAA.

As of Sunday, Vancouver is five points away from a playoff spot in the Western Conference with 12 games left to play.
