Former UFC bantamweight title challenger, Dominic Reyes, shared his thoughts on his recent victory against Nikita Krylov and spoke about his future plans in his fighting career.
“I was confident I would land that powerful punch eventually,” Reyes stated. “However, I didn`t anticipate knocking out Krylov completely, especially since no one had achieved that before. I expected to connect, maybe stagger him, and then begin my combinations to finish the fight, but not in such a decisive knockout.”
He continued, “I dedicated myself to rigorous training for this fight. I got married, and only two weeks after the wedding, I started my fight preparation. Looking ahead, we`ll see what opportunities arise. I`m considering a return in October. That would be ideal because my birthday is in December, and I`d prefer to celebrate it outside of intense gym training,” Reyes mentioned, as reported by MMA Fighting.
It`s worth noting that Reyes secured a first-round knockout against Krylov at UFC 314 in Miami, USA.
