The Edmonton Oilers are expanding their player pool by bringing in talent from overseas.

They have officially announced the signing of German forward Josh Samanski to a two-year entry-level contract. This agreement will commence at the start of the next season.

Josh Samanski, aged 23, has primarily played for the Straubing Tigers in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga (DEL) for the past four seasons.

During his time with Straubing Tigers, Samanski participated in 193 games, achieving a total of 40 goals and 53 assists. Additionally, he contributed five goals and six assists in 30 playoff games.

This season, the left-handed forward played in 52 games for Straubing, leading his team with 14 goals and adding 26 assists to his record.
