ANAHEIM, California — Cutter Gauthier, assisted by Frank Vatrano, scored late in the game to tie the score and then netted the overtime winner at 1:11, securing a 4-3 victory for the Anaheim Ducks over the Calgary Flames.
Shortly after Yegor Sharangovich and Matt Coronato scored within 1 minute and 42 seconds to give Calgary a 3-1 lead, Vatrano initiated the comeback with 3:57 remaining in the third period. Gauthier then equalized just nine seconds later.
In overtime, Leo Carlsson set up Gauthier, who beat goalie Dustin Wolf with a wrist shot from the high slot, finding the top right corner of the net.
Ville Husso was solid in net for the Ducks, stopping 36 shots.
Mikael Backlund opened the scoring for the Flames in the second period, while Trevor Zegras tied the game for the Ducks with 8:11 left in the third.
Sharangovich put Calgary ahead again with 6:14 to go, and Coronato extended their lead further at 4:42.
Wolf made 19 saves in the game.

The Flames are scheduled to play against Minnesota on Friday night. The Ducks will travel to Los Angeles to face the Kings on Thursday night.
