Forza Motorsport is marking its 20th anniversary this year, and a significant update bringing celebratory features to the community is now available on PC and Xbox Series X|S. The most notable addition is the long-requested implementation of public meetups.
Players will find four distinct meetup modes: two operating under drift rules and two under race rules. Both mode types include a playlist that cycles through all 73 available track layouts corresponding to their respective rule sets. Furthermore, the drift mode features a dedicated 24/7 playlist for the recently returned Fujimi Kaido, while the race mode offers a constant 24/7 playlist for the challenging Nürburgring Nordschleife, affectionately known as the `Green Hell` in Germany.
The developers utilized this update as an opportunity to introduce several improvements to the game`s AI. The AI is now designed to drive more cleanly and safely, particularly during the often-congested race starts. Users playing with steering wheels will also experience enhanced behavior, although they may need to re-adjust their steering sensitivity settings after installing the patch.
In line with the anniversary theme, the update incorporates several tracks from previous Forza Motorsport game soundtracks into the current title, alongside the inclusion of some entirely new musical pieces.
Those who enjoy the career mode will be pleased to learn about a brand-new featured tour that has been permanently added to the game: The 20th Anniversary Tour. This extensive tour is structured into seven groups, each comprising four stops, resulting in a total of 28 events.
One quartet of events will become accessible each week, with the initial leg featuring popular tracks such as Fujimi Kaido, Maple Valley, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Sunset Peninsula Raceway.
Successfully completing the entirety of the tour awards players with the 2022 Acura NSX Type S. Additionally, finishing each individual leg of the tour unlocks a new racing suit, each inspired by different games from the history of the series.
Beyond these major additions, the update also delivers a multitude of fixes, adjustments, new challenges, and multiplayer tours, enriching this significant milestone for virtual racing enthusiasts.
