German Referees Assigned to Champions League, Europa League, and More

Daniel Siebert has been assigned to officiate the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg between Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid. This match, following a 5-2 first-leg victory for the Spanish side, is expected to have less tension. Siebert will be supported by his team in England, including assistants Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn, fourth official Daniel Schlager, and Video Assistant Referees (VARs) Bastian Dankert and Sören Storks.

Furthermore, Christian Dingert and Robert Schröder will serve as VARs for the Champions League fixture between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, assisting Slovenian referee Slavko Vincic.

Felix Zwayer is set to officiate his 18th Europa League knockout stage match on Thursday. He will take charge of the second leg between FC Midtjylland and Nottingham Forest at the MCH Arena, after the Danish side secured a 0-1 win in the first leg. This will be Zwayer’s first time officiating either club. His team will include assistants Robert Kempter and Christian Gittelmann, VARs Robert Schröder and Bastian Dankert, and Florian Badstübner as the fourth official.

Also on Thursday, Tobias Stieler will officiate the Europa League Round of 16 second leg between Real Betis and Panathinaikos in Spain. Stieler’s officiating team will consist of assistants Lasse Koslowski and Mark Borsch, fourth official Matthias Jöllenbeck, and VARs Sören Storks and Bastian Dankert.

Sascha Stegemann has been appointed to officiate the UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 16 second leg between Rayo Vallecano and Samsunspor on Thursday. This marks the first time the 41-year-old referee has reached this stage of the competition. He will be assisted in Russia by Christof Günsch and Marco Achmüller, with Benjamin Brand and Pascal Müller operating as VARs, and Martin Petersen serving as the fourth official.

On Tuesday, Florian Badstübner will oversee the Youth League quarter-final match between Villarreal CF and Paris Saint-Germain. Sven Waschitzki and Tobias Fritsch will accompany Badstübner to Spain as assistants.
