German referees are set to take on significant roles in the quarter-finals of both the Champions League and Europa League, with key appointments announced for the upcoming matches.
On Tuesday, Daniel Siebert will officiate the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final clash between Sporting Lisbon and Arsenal London. He will be supported by his assistant referees Jan Seidel and Rafael Foltyn. Bastian Dankert and Sören Storks will serve as Video Assistant Referees (VARs), while Daniel Schlager completes the team as the Fourth Official.
Furthermore, Christian Dingert will contribute as a Video Assistant Referee for Romanian official Istvan Kovacs during a Champions League quarter-final match scheduled for Wednesday, featuring FC Barcelona against Atletico Madrid.
Adding to Germany’s presence in European competitions, Felix Zwayer has been appointed for a Europa League quarter-final match, marking a similar assignment to 2024. On Wednesday, he will oversee the first leg featuring SC Braga against Betis Sevilla. His officiating team includes assistant referees Robert Kempter and Dominik Schaal, VARs Robert Schröder and Pascal Müller, and Fourth Official Florian Badstübner.
