Goalie Jakub Dobes Agrees to Two-Year Deal with Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens have announced they have signed goaltender Jakub Dobes to a new two-year contract.

The agreement includes an average annual value of $965,000 for Dobes.

Dobes, who was a fifth-round pick by the Canadiens in the 2020 draft, had a successful first season in the NHL.

The 24-year-old netminder appeared in 16 games, posting a .909 save percentage and a 2.74 goals-against average with a 7-4-3 record. In the playoffs for Montreal, Dobes played three games, recording an .891 save percentage and a 2.91 GAA.

Over his American Hockey League (AHL) career, Dobes has played 65 games, maintaining a 2.82 GAA and a .906 save percentage.
