Golden Knights’ Cassidy Sounds Off on Controversial Non-Call

The Edmonton Oilers secured a thrilling Game 2 victory against the Vegas Golden Knights in overtime, but the win was not without controversy.

Just moments before Leon Draisaitl drove home a Connor McDavid pass on a two-on-one to clinch Game 2 in extra time, the Oilers benefited from a non-call that resulted in an injury to one of the Golden Knights` veteran players.

Oilers forward Viktor Arvidsson and Golden Knights defenceman Brayden McNabb were racing for the puck in the Vegas zone when Arvidsson appeared to deliver a shove, sending the 34-year-old McNabb hard into the end boards.

Despite the forceful contact and subsequent injury, no penalty was called on the play.
