The Vegas Golden Knights might be without a key forward as they face elimination in their playoff series.

Mark Stone was absent from the ice during the morning skate. Head coach Bruce Cassidy informed reporters that Stone`s status for Game 5 against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday will be determined just before the game.

The Golden Knights are currently trailing the Oilers 3-1 in this second-round series.

Also missing from the skate were defencemen Alex Pietrangelo and Brayden McNabb, along with forward Brandon Saad; their availability is also considered a game-time decision.

Reports suggest the team is anticipating that Stone will likely not participate. The 33-year-old forward was forced out of Game 3 due to an unspecified injury, although he did return to play 21:42 in Game 4.

However, McNabb and Pietrangelo are expected to be available to play. Defencemen Kaedan Korczak and Ben Hutton remained on the ice with the group of players not expected to be in the lineup during the morning skate.

Meanwhile, Saad is also dealing with an undisclosed injury. He played 16:11 in Game 2 of the series, where he registered one hit and one blocked shot. The 32-year-old has recorded two assists over eight playoff games this season.
