Gustav Nyquist has landed with a new team.

The Winnipeg Jets announced Wednesday they have signed the veteran forward to a one-year contract worth $3.25 million.

The 35-year-old forward split last season between the Nashville Predators and Minnesota Wild, recording 28 points (11 goals, 17 assists) in 79 games.

This comes a year after he posted a career-best 75 points with the Predators during the 2023-24 season.

Originally a fourth-round pick by the Detroit Red Wings in 2008, Nyquist spent his first eight NHL seasons in Detroit. He was traded to the San Jose Sharks in 2019 and has also played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, and Nashville Predators throughout his career.
