In anticipation of their final fixture of the summer tour, England`s Head Coach Steve Borthwick has confirmed adjustments to the squad currently based in Washington. Two new players have been called up to join the camp: hookers Gabriel Oghre and Jamie Blamire.
These personnel changes have become necessary following recent squad availability shifts. Seasoned international Jamie George departed the squad after being called up to the British & Irish Lions as a replacement for Luke Cowan-Dickie. Simultaneously, Theo Dan, another hooker option, unfortunately sustained a knee injury during England`s prior Test match against Argentina, ruling him out of contention for the upcoming game.
To ensure adequate coverage in the crucial hooker position, Gabriel Oghre of Bristol Bears and Jamie Blamire from Leicester Tigers have been swiftly brought in. Both players have now linked up with the rest of the England contingent in Washington as preparations for the Test against the USA Eagles intensify.
The inclusion of Oghre and Blamire provides valuable depth and presents a timely opportunity for both players to integrate into the squad environment and potentially press for selection as England aims to conclude their summer campaign on a positive note.
