UFC welterweight contender Ian Garry shared his thoughts following his recent victory over Carlos Prates. He also confirmed that he will act as the official backup participant for the highly anticipated fight between Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena, currently slated for May 10th at UFC 315 in Montreal, Canada.
“Carlos is a legend, and I respect him,” Garry commented. “He had an impressive winning streak, but I stated I would outclass him, and I believe I accomplished that.”
Garry further elaborated on his career path and immediate plans:
“My primary objective in this sport is to prove that I am a true fighter, embodying the spirit of Irish warriors. What`s next? I stepped up on 21 days` notice against Shavkat, then 25 days against Carlos. In just two weeks, I`ll be flying to Canada to officially serve as the backup for the title fight. I am unequivocally the next contender in line!”
