Ian Garry on Usman & Covington: ‘No Longer Fighters’

Ian Garry recently offered a less-than-favorable assessment of fellow welterweights Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman.

Garry commented that the sport is evolving, moving past established figures towards a new generation, and suggested that individuals like Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington are merely attempting to cling to relevance. He asserted that their current efforts involve engaging in podcasts and criticizing fighters such as Paddy Pimblett, indicating this is their primary activity now. Garry claimed these fighters have lost their desire to compete, declaring that they are no longer active participants and are effectively “done” as fighters.
