Former UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria has shared his opinion on Alexander Volkanovski`s recent victory against Diego Lopez.
Volkanovski, representing Australia, secured a unanimous decision win over the Brazilian Lopez in the UFC 314 main event held in Miami, USA, claiming the vacant featherweight belt.
Speaking about Volkanovski`s performance, Topuria acknowledged his skills, stating, “Alex is an amazing fighter. I was genuinely happy for him when he defeated Lopez, as he truly deserved to become champion.”
It`s worth noting that Topuria vacated his featherweight title in February, announcing his transition to the lightweight division.
