Israel Adesanya, the former UFC middleweight champion, has confirmed his strong desire for an immediate rematch against fellow former titleholder Sean Strickland.
Speaking on his official YouTube channel, Adesanya stated his intentions clearly: “I`ve already informed the matchmaker about this. I told my coach, the time has come. I know who I want to fight, I have a feeling about it. You`re going to like this fight, I want a rematch with Sean Strickland.”
Adesanya and Strickland previously met in September 2023. In that surprising encounter, Strickland delivered a dominant performance to secure the UFC middleweight championship from Adesanya via a unanimous decision victory.
