Jack Della Maddalena Confident Against Islam Makhachev: “He is Too Small”

UFC welterweight champion Jack Della Maddalena has expressed strong confidence in his ability to defeat former lightweight titleholder Islam Makhachev. Their anticipated clash is reportedly scheduled for this autumn.

Della Maddalena framed the potential bout as his “first defense of the dream title,” stating his desire to face “the best fighter regardless of weight categories.” He also views the fight as an opportunity to “settle the score… for Volkanovski,” referencing Islam Makhachev`s past fights with Alexander Volkanovski.

He is too small. He is too little, I will reach him.

Della Maddalena successfully captured the welterweight championship in May, securing a unanimous decision victory over Belal Muhammad.
