Jannik Sinner Continues Record-Breaking Masters 1000 Streak at Miami Open

Jannik Sinner has further cemented his place in tennis history by extending his remarkable record for the most consecutive sets won at ATP Masters 1,000 events to 28, successfully advancing to the quarter-finals of the Miami Open.

The world number two from Italy, who on Monday surpassed Novak Djokovic’s long-standing 10-year record of 24 consecutive sets, overcame American opponent Alex Michelsen in a hard-fought match, winning 7-5, 7-6 (7-4).

Sinner demonstrated his resilience by battling back from a 5-2 deficit in the second set to seal his victory. This triumph sets up an anticipated encounter with the American 19th seed, Frances Tiafoe.

Notably, Sinner has achieved an extraordinary feat by winning the last two Masters 1,000 tournaments – held in Paris last November and Indian Wells earlier this month – without dropping a single set.
