Jason Robertson’s Hat Trick Propels Stars to Victory Over Oilers

EDMONTON — Jason Robertson delivered a stunning natural hat trick in the second period, leading the Dallas Stars to a 4-3 win against the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. This victory marks the Stars` third consecutive win.

Wyatt Johnston also contributed a goal for Dallas (46-21-4), who are now on a strong 4-0-2 run in their last six games. Roope Hintz played a crucial role, assisting on all three of Robertson`s goals.

For the Oilers (41-25-5), Corey Perry, Adam Henrique, and Zach Hyman managed to score in a late comeback attempt. The team faced a setback when starting goalie Stuart Skinner was injured after a collision with Mikko Rantanen in the third period and had to be replaced by Calvin Pickard.

Adding to their challenges, Edmonton was already missing key players Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl due to injuries. Prior to this game, the Oilers had a record of 3-1-1 in their last five outings.

In goal, Jake Oettinger was outstanding for Dallas, stopping 42 shots to secure the win. Skinner made 17 saves before his exit, while Pickard faced three shots in relief and stopped them all.

KEY POINTS

Stars: Thomas Harley, filling in for the injured Miro Heiskanen, continued to impress on defense. Harley has been productive recently, scoring four goals and ten points in his last nine games. On Wednesday, he added two assists, matching his career-high of 47 points.

Oilers: Edmonton`s injury woes seemed to worsen in the second period when two key players left the game within a short span. Zach Hyman went down after a collision and headed to the dressing room, and Evan Bouchard was hit by a shot and also left the ice. Fortunately for Oilers fans, both players returned to the game. However, the relief was temporary as Skinner`s injury forced him out of the game in the third period.
