Josh Morrissey was compelled to exit Sunday`s pivotal game against St. Louis during the opening period and did not rejoin the action for the second.
Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist delivered a hit that sent Morrissey into the boards. This impact left the Jets blueliner visibly uncomfortable as he skated towards the bench. Although Morrissey briefly returned for one more shift following the incident, he subsequently headed to the dressing room and remained out.
Morrissey`s total ice time in Game 7 was drastically limited, logging only 2:09. Notably, he was on the ice for both goals scored by the Blues in the initial period.
