Jets’ Mark Scheifele leaves vs. Blues with apparent injury

The Winnipeg Jets are facing uncertainty regarding their star player. Mark Scheifele, the team`s prominent centre, departed Wednesday`s Game 5 matchup against the St. Louis Blues before the start of the second period and was officially ruled out for the remainder of the game by the beginning of the third frame.

Following the Jets` 5-3 victory in Game 5, head coach Scott Arniel offered no immediate information regarding Scheifele`s condition or the severity of the injury.

While the precise moment Scheifele sustained the injury remains unclear, he was notably on the receiving end of a forceful hit delivered by Blues captain Brayden Schenn during the first period of the game.
