UFC American middleweight Joe Pyfer has spoken out about his withdrawal from his scheduled fight against fellow American, Kelvin Gastelum.
The fight was set to occur at UFC on ESPN 64 in Mexico City.
Pyfer stated, “My heart is breaking that I can`t fight tonight. I felt really unwell, and I hope our fight can be rescheduled for the coming weeks.”
He added, “Unfortunately, these things can happen when traveling internationally. I will be more cautious moving forward. Please accept my apologies. I will be back.” Pyfer shared this message on X (formerly Twitter).
