Legendary mixed martial arts veteran Demetrious Johnson has shared his belief that current UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria may decide to retire from the sport within the next few years.
Quoted by Mundo Deportivo, Johnson described Topuria as a “unicorn” within the sport. He offered a specific prediction for the future of the undefeated fighter:
“He is a unicorn. I think we will see him three to four more times, at most five, and then he will disappear. Perhaps there will come a time when he leaves the sport undefeated, because he will have nothing left to prove.”
