UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones recently stated his preference for a potential octagon showdown with former divisional kingpin Francis Ngannou, provided Ngannou returns to the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion.

This declaration comes amidst ongoing efforts by the UFC brass to finalize a bout between Jones and the current interim champion, Tom Aspinall.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Jones shared his perspective:

“I`ve heard Francis Ngannou is interested in the UFC… Now we`re talking. That`s a super fight right there. A clash of champions, not just a whole lot of hype. He held the UFC title, I defended mine for decades. Two kings from different eras. Not just one legend against a loudmouth who is currently in the spotlight, but a clash of two actual legacies. That`s the fight that truly adds something special to my story. At least, that`s how I feel.”
