Jordan Martinook Sustains Apparent Injury in Hurricanes’ Game 3 Win

Carolina Hurricanes forward Jordan Martinook`s status for Game 4 of the series against the Washington Capitals is currently uncertain following an injury sustained in Game 3.

Martinook left Saturday`s Game 3 victory during the third period. The injury occurred after he blocked a shot from Capitals forward Pierre-Luc Dubois. He was observed favoring his left leg as he proceeded to the team`s locker room.

At this time, there has been no official announcement regarding the specific nature or severity of the ailment.

Before departing the game, the 32-year-old forward accumulated 15:16 of ice time. During this time, he recorded three hits and blocked two shots.

Martinook had a productive regular season for Carolina, tallying 15 goals and 36 points across 79 games. In the current post-season, he has contributed one goal and three assists.

The Hurricanes` win on Saturday gave them a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-seven series. Game 4 is scheduled for Monday.
