Edmonton Oilers fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
Head coach Kris Knoblauch provided encouraging updates on the status of captain Connor McDavid and forward Connor Brown during his media availability on Monday.
Knoblauch stated that McDavid is expected to fully participate in Tuesday`s practice session, held just one day before Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final. This confirms McDavid`s availability despite leaving Sunday`s earlier practice skate.
In further good news, Connor Brown has been officially confirmed to play in Game 1 against the Florida Panthers. Brown had missed the final two games of the Western Conference Final due to an unspecified injury.
The highly anticipated first game of the Oilers-Panthers series is scheduled for Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. MT.
