British welterweight fighter Leron Murphy has expressed his thoughts on his recent victory against Josh Emmett and shared his aspirations for future fights.
Following his win, Murphy stated, “I had to approach the fight with caution and stick to my game plan. Emmett is known for his dangerous striking power, and a single mistake could be decisive. At this high level of competition, errors are costly. Having been knocked down in my previous fight, I was determined to avoid a repeat.”
Looking ahead, Murphy declared his ambitions: “Naturally, my ultimate goal is to compete for the championship title. However, in the meantime, I am willing to face any opponent ranked within the top 5, or even top 3. Bring on anyone; I will be prepared to fight in July. I am eager to extend my winning streak and earn my shot at the title.”
It is worth noting that Murphy`s victory over Emmett was secured by a unanimous decision from the judges. The fight headlined UFC on ESPN 65, which took place in Las Vegas, USA.
