The Tampa Bay Lightning have secured the services of goaltender Jonas Johansson for an additional two seasons. The club officially announced the signing of a contract extension for Johansson on Wednesday.
The new agreement for the 29-year-old netminder carries an average annual value (AAV) of $1.25 million.
During the current season, Johansson appeared in 19 games for the Lightning, where he recorded an .895 save percentage and a 3.13 goals-against average. He previously reached a career high in games played during the 2023-24 season, appearing in 26 contests.
The Swedish goaltender`s career totals include 80 NHL games played, holding career averages of a 3.29 goals-against average and an .890 save percentage.
