Harrison Meneghin`s strong performance throughout the 2025 WHL post-season has earned him an NHL contract.

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Monday that they have signed the goaltender to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The 20-year-old recently won WHL Playoffs MVP after helping lead the Medicine Hat Tigers to their first Memorial Cup appearance since 2007. In 16 post-season games, he posted a 14-1 record with a .906 save percentage, a 2.35 goals against average, and three shutouts.

The six-foot-three, 169-pound netminder also played in 35 regular-season games for the Tigers during the 2024-25 season, achieving a 23-9-2 record with a .901 save percentage, 2.56 goals against average, and three shutouts.

In 126 career WHL games playing for both Medicine Hat and the Lethbridge Hurricanes, Meneghin accumulated a 69-42-8-3 record, alongside a .910 save percentage, a 2.68 goals against average, and seven shutouts.

Media members voted Meneghin the 2025 WHL Playoffs MVP after he helped Medicine Hat win the WHL Championship.

The 20-year-old unexpectedly lost his father, Derek, on the final day of the WHL regular season. He returned to the team just days later for the start of the playoffs and backstopped the Tigers to their sixth Ed Chynoweth Cup – their first since 2007.

Meneghin, who hails from South Surrey, B.C., was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning in the final round of the 2024 NHL Draft. He is just the third player – and third goaltender – in Tigers history to earn the title of WHL Playoff MVP, joining Kevin Nastiuk (2004) and Matt Keetley (2007).
