There`s a new addition to the Marner family.
Toronto Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner and his wife, Stephanie, welcomed a baby boy on Sunday morning, the team announced.
As a result of his son`s birth, Marner missed the team`s practice.
The 27-year-old contributed one goal and seven assists during the Maple Leafs` six-game first-round playoff victory over the Ottawa Senators.
Toronto is scheduled to face the Florida Panthers in Round 2 of the playoffs. Game 1 is set for Monday.
